SMART CHARCOAL CHEX RIDDEN BY KEVIN VESEY IS THE 2011 AQHA REGION 2 WORKING COW HORSE CHAMPION.

We are a family owned and operated ranch in central North Dakota. We raise American Quarter Horses, commercial beef cattle and quality feed. We strive to produce quality cowbred prospects for work, show and play. Our broodmare band carries a diverse set of bloodlines, from daughters of leading cutting, reining, and reined cow horse sires to the foundation blood that is the cornerstone to our industry. Our horses are chosen for disposition, athletic ability, conformation and pedigree. And yes, we love grulla and black horses, but quality always comes first.

Our stallions are well bred sons of leading sires, Smart Charcoal Chex is a coal black son of Smart Little Lena out of a money earning, multiple producing daughter of Bueno Chex. We are so pleased to add this caliber of stallion to our program. He is a talented reiner and cow horse. He kinda slipped through the cracks as a young horse and is now really beginning his show career at 11 years old. We will continue to promote in 2012. Holidocs Husker is a talented grullo son of Holidoc out of daughter of the legend, Jody Fairfax. His offspring are now proving themselves easy to train, smart, willing, and cowy. They are suited for most any job, from futurity hopefuls to handy ranch horses to going for a Sunday ride.
