Welcome to the Ammon Ranch! We are a family owned and operated ranch in central North Dakota. We raise American Quarter Horses, commercial beef cattle and quality feed. We strive to produce quality cowbred prospects for work, show and play. Our broodmare band carries a diverse set of bloodlines, from daughters of leading cutting, reining, and reined cow horse sires to the foundation blood that is the cornerstone to our industry. Our horses are chosen for disposition, athletic ability, conformation and pedigree. And yes, we love grulla and black horses, but quality always comes first.

3/7/10...Foal watch has officially begun. Holly has been in the barn for the last several days, looks like she will go close to her due date.
Our stallion, Holidocs Husker is a talented grullo son of Holidoc out of daughter of the legend, Jody Fairfax. His offspring are now proving themselves easy to train, smart, willing, and cowy. They are suited for most any job, from futurity hopefuls to handy ranch horses to going for a Sunday ride.
